Will Jiles is from a small town in Long Island, NY. He’s the third child of four born to Margaret, a Pastor and retired nurse, and William Jiles Sr, a minister and retired fireman. Will graduated high school in 1988 and joined the U.S. Navy the next day. He completed the Navy’s Broadened Opportunity for Officer Selection and Training (BOOST) Program and was awarded a full ROTC scholarship to the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT).

While a student at IIT, Will made the Dean’s List twice and was the first black ROTC student at IIT to be awarded the Navy’s Distinguished Midshipman award. Will graduated from IIT with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting in 1993. Upon graduation he was commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Navy Supply Corps and did two tours aboard navy destroyers in Norfolk, VA. Will also did a tour on land at the Defense Supply Center Richmond where he managed aviation logistics for the Department of Defense and serve as an aide to the commander of the base. Among his many awards and decorations, Will has received the Navy’s Achievement Medal (twice) and the Defense Meritorious Service Medal. Will resigned his commission in fall of 2001 and became an investment advisor.

Will became a licensed investment advisor with Edward Jones in 2001 and operated an office in Petersburg, VA to help individuals and business owners manage their investments. He was awarded the Edward Jones Prospecting Award for opening more than 100 accounts during his first year. After five years with Edward Jones, Will was recruited by former broker dealer, Capitol Securities Management in Glen Allen, VA to run their Operations Department. As Operations Manager, Will helped Capitol Securities grow from $1 billion to over $4 billion in client assets and from $19 million to $35 million in annual revenues. Will recently left Operations to return to his true love of helping people achieve their financial goals. Jiles Wealth Management officially opened its doors February 1, 2020 with the idea that all clients, regardless of the size of their account, should have Life, More Abundantly.

Will has been married to his college sweetheart, Brenda Jiles, for 27 years. They have two children: a daughter, Lashauna Jiles, 27, a son, Will Jr, 25, and one grandchild, Nolan Jiles, 4. Will is happiest when attending his church with his family where he serves faithfully as a deacon. He is an avid chess player, enjoys working in the yard and is a die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
